Anonymous Analytics and Crash Data

To improve our app and fix bugs, we use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. This data is strictly anonymous and cannot be used to identify you. It includes device type, operating system version, and crash logs.

Local Data Storage

The only data stored by PDF Suite Pro exists locally on your device and includes:

• PDF files you create or modify (stored in your device's Documents folder)
• App preferences and settings (stored in app-specific storage)
• Temporary cache files for processing (automatically cleared)

PDF Suite Pro requests only the minimum permissions necessary to provide its functionality. Here's a detailed explanation of each permission:

📁 Storage Permission

Purpose: To read images and documents you want to convert, and to save the PDF files you create.

• Read images from your gallery for Image to PDF conversion
• Read existing PDF files for editing, merging, or converting
• Save created and modified PDFs to your Documents folder

📷 Camera Permission

Purpose: To enable the Document Scanner feature for capturing documents directly.

• Scan physical documents using your device camera
• Capture images for conversion to PDF
• Camera access is only active when you use the scanner feature

Permissions NOT Required

PDF Suite Pro does NOT require or request:

• Internet/Network access
• Location services
• Contacts or phone access
• Microphone access
• Background location
• Account information

PDF Suite Pro includes the following features, all of which operate entirely on your device without any network communication:

Since PDF Suite Pro operates completely offline and does not collect any user data, your information is inherently protected. However, we implement additional security measures to ensure your documents remain safe:

Security Measures

• Local Processing Only: All PDF operations are performed entirely on your device using the device's native processing capabilities.
• No Network Transmission: The app does not have internet permission and cannot transmit data outside your device.
• Encrypted Storage: Password-protected PDFs use AES-256 encryption, the same standard used by banks and governments.
• Scoped Storage: On Android 10+, the app uses scoped storage to limit access to only necessary files.
• Temporary File Cleanup: Temporary processing files are automatically deleted after operations complete.

Your Responsibilities

While we ensure the app doesn't compromise your data, we recommend:

• Keeping your device secured with a PIN, password, or biometric lock
• Using strong passwords when password-protecting sensitive PDFs
• Regularly backing up important documents
• Being cautious when sharing PDF files with others

Open-Source Libraries

The app uses open-source libraries for PDF processing, all of which operate locally:

• PDFium: Open-source PDF rendering engine (runs locally)
• iText: PDF manipulation library (runs locally)
• AndroidX Libraries: Standard Android UI components
• Glide: Image loading and caching (local only)

None of these libraries transmit data to external servers. All processing happens on your device.

Analytics and Performance Monitoring

We use the following Google services exclusively for monitoring app stability and improving user experience:

• Google Analytics for Firebase: Helps us understand how users interact with the app anonymously.
• Firebase Crashlytics: Reports app crashes so we can fix them quickly.

What We Don't Include

• Advertising SDKs (no ads)
• Social media integration

PDF Suite Pro is designed as a general-purpose productivity tool and is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13.

The app contains no features that would require parental consent, as there is no:

• External links to inappropriate content
